Just had a comment on Facebook about how a lot of social media reels show harassment and bullying in the name of humour.

Humour has so many roles in our lives: anything from a dazzling display of our minds at play, to everyday chat and banter, all the way to the cruelty of ridicule. As much as it brings people together, it also shuts others out.

Is social media a breeding ground for ‘nasty’ humour? And if so why?
